Where to start which The Merchants of Spice, simply couldn’t have been more happy with every aspect of our visit. We went for our friend’s birthday dinner, a very important occasion I can assure you. As soon as we entered we were greeted by both the incredibly friendly, professional staff and the cool, cosy and elegant vibe of the restaurant. There was an incredible selection of food and drinks to choose from, and not a single one of the disappointed when they arrived. Fantastic tastes. Also was very impressed by the price. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

It is a very busy place BUT I was really really blown away with their food quality / taste. The only thing i would say is to ensure that if you really can’t take spicy food, their medium spicy level to me was really really spicy. I could only take one third of a boneless chicken cube and I couldn’t eat anymore as it really was too spicy. Chicken Naga is what it is called. HOWEVER, the lamb shank we ordered and the OKRA!!! Holy moly!!! I am IN LOVE with their Okra!!!!! Poppadom was really good!!
I've been to alot of Indian takeaways and restaurants over the years. I have to say that the quality of this establishment surpassed many others I've been to. Starting with the welcome, greeted very nicely, seated and attended to very well throughout the time there. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food - freshly made and hot, served proportionately quickly to how busy it was. Again, attended to very well throughout the meal, without it being overbearing. Value for money - definitely great quality food, flavourful, colourful and well cooked. Altogether a lovely experience and would recommend it
